Tuesday, August 28th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.874 nearly even to Monday’s closing price of $2.876.  A modest intraday high of $2.875 near 9:00AM soon gave way to continue the previous session’s decline as prices recorded the intraday low of $2.849 at 11:20AM.  With today’s settlement looming and demand waning, the contract fluctuated along $2.855 into the afternoon as September closed lower on Tuesday at $2.852.  The more actively traded October contract closed roughly two cents lower at $2.845.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 55 cents; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and, Gasoline was up one cent.
