Monday, March 1st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.741, three cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.771. In a quiet day of trading, prices hovered near the $2.760 level for the majority of the day. Falling to an intraday low of $2.740 ahead of 9:30AM and reaching an intraday high of $2.786 at 10:50AM, the contract traded sideways into the afternoon. April closed higher on Monday at $2.777.
As of 6:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down three cents; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
