Monday, March 25th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.720, roughly three cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.753. Mounting a recovery effort from the intraday low of $2.717 as markets opened, the contract was able to reclaim overnight losses by 9:30AM as it stabilized near $2.750. Trading along either side of this mark for the majority of the day, April rose to an intraday high of $2.757 before closing slightly higher on Monday at $2.755.
As of 8:35AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 96 cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up two cents; and Gasoline was up two cents.
