Monday, July 26th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $4.163, above Friday’s closing price of $4.060. Ascending to another two-and-a-half year intraday high of $4.187 minutes after the opening bell, the contract then posted a steep decline as the contract plummeted to the intraday low of $4.033 ahead of 11:00AM. Crossing midday near $4.070 and continuing upward to the $4.100 level ahead of 2:30PM, August closed higher for the seventh consecutive session on Monday at $4.102.
As of 6:25AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was unchanged; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up slightly; and Gasoline was up one cent.
