July NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.328 on Tuesday, June 18th

Tuesday, June 18th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.392, slightly above Monday’s closing price of $2.386.  Falling from the intraday high as markets opened, the $2.365 level provided support through 10:30AM when prices trended lower once again.  Crossing midday near $2.340, the contract crept lower into the afternoon as limited demand and bearish forecasts have once again pulled the rug out from under the most recent rally.  July marked an intraday low of $2.326 before closing lower on Tuesday at $2.328.

As of 8:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up five cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was down slightly; and Gasoline was down one cent.
