Tuesday, June 4th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.394, nearly even to Friday’s closing price of $2.403. Slipping to the intraday low of $2.381 as markets opened, prices soon reversed direction to ascend into the morning. Correcting from oversold conditions and traders squaring positions, the contract surpassed $2.430 by midday and rose to an intraday high of $2.441 at 12:40AM. July closed higher on Tuesday at $2.416.
As of 8:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 74 cents; Natural Gas was unchanged; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down two cents.
