July NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $3.070 on Monday, June 7th

Monday, June 7th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $3.054, four cents below Friday’s closing price of $3.097.  Falling to an intraday low of $3.033 at 9:10AM, the contract mounted a staggered recovery throughout the morning to tally an intraday high of $3.089 at midday.  Indecision looms as prices have hovered near $3.075 since a weather-induced jump last Tuesday, and much of the country endures above average temperatures.  July closed lower on Monday at $3.070.

As of 6:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 50 cents; Natural Gas was up five cents; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down two cents.
