Monday, May 1st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.363, five cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.410. Recording the intraday high of $2.394 by 9:15AM, the contract began a gradual descent that would span the duration of the session as mild weather forecasts failed to inspire. Finding the intraday low of $2.290 shortly after midday, June closed lower on Monday at $2.318.
As of 6:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 48 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
