Friday, May 24th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.565, a penny below Thursday’s closing price of $2.578. Falling to an intraday low of $2.542 by 9:40AM, the contract posted a steady ascent for the balance of the day to surpass the $2.60 level. Tallying an intraday high of $2.604 near 1:00PM, June closed higher on Friday at $2.598.
The NYMEX trading floor was closed yesterday in observation of the Memorial Day holiday.
As of 8:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 46 cents; Natural Gas was down four cents; Heating Oil was up four cents; and Gasoline was up three cents.
