Friday, February 7th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.858, just below Thursday’s closing price of $1.862. Reaching as high as $1.894 by 9:15AM, prices extended to an intraday high of $1.898 ahead of 10:00AM. Stepping lower for the remainder of the morning to cross midday at an intraday low of $1.855, mild weather forecasts and ample supply continue to keep a lid on any notable rallies. March closed lower on Friday at $1.858.
As of 8:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 27 cents; Natural Gas was down eight cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
