Tuesday, February 9th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.812, seven cents below Monday’s closing price of $2.882. Falling to an intraday low of $2.789 soon after the opening bell, prices traded within a tight band near $2.810 for the majority of the day until breaking upward to an intraday high of $2.851 at 2:20PM. Forecasts in the short-term have warmed slightly, though we’re still expecting frigid temperatures in the coming week. March closed lower on Tuesday at $2.835.
As of 7:10AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 27 cents; Natural Gas was down four cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
