Tuesday, November 13th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.961, roughly seventeen cents above Monday’s closing price of $3.788. Slipping to the intraday low of $3.921 shortly after the opening bell, the contract soon shot higher to reach above the $4.05 level by 10:00AM. Retreating to straddle the $4.00 mark through 1:00PM, the contract surged to a near four-year intraday high of $4.110 ahead of 2:30PM. December closed higher on Tuesday at $4.101.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 59 cents; Natural Gas was up 43 cents; Heating Oil was up four cents; and Gasoline was up one cent. Additionally, cash prices were higher in New York and New England.
