Monday, December 21st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.680, two cents below Friday’s closing price $2.700. Touching down to an intraday low of $2.662 soon after the opening bell, the contract posted a choppy ascent throughout the day as traders gauged the latest weather forecasts. Tallying an intraday high of $2.711 at 2:20PM, the January contract closed higher on Monday at $2.705.
As of 6:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 55 cents; Natural Gas was up six cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down two cents.
