Monday, June 24th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.241, nearly six cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.186. Battling back from two-year lows, the contract showed signs of life early in the session to surpass $2.260 at 10:00AM and $2.300 by midday. Despite continued low demand and bearish temperatures for this time of year, prices rallied to an intraday high of $2.316 at 12:30PM and proceeded to close higher on Monday at $2.303
As of 8:55AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was unchanged; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was down slightly; and Gasoline was up slightly.
