Friday, June 7th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.339, more than a penny above Thursday’s closing price of $2.324. Despite losing ground early on to record an intraday low of $2.306 at 9:40AM, prices soon reversed direction to ascend to an intraday high of $2.355 by midday. Exhausting its resources soon thereafter as market sentiment is still largely bearish, the contract seesawed along $2.340 before ultimately closing higher on Friday at $2.337.
As of 9:09AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 24 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was up slightly; and Gasoline was up slightly.
