Tuesday, May 21st saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.645, three cents below Monday’s closing price of $2.673. Reaching the intraday high of $2.650 by 9:10AM, prices soon trended lower as concerns surrounding production capabilities faded. Marking the intraday low of $2.609 at 11:30AM, the $2.60 level continues to provide support as the contract gave back the gains it made on Monday and Friday. June closed lower on Tuesday at $2.613.
As of 8:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 87 cents; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down one cent.
