Tuesday, May 11th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.897, nearly four cents below Monday’s closing price of $2.932. Falling to an intraday low of $2.881 by 9:20AM as weather forecasts lost a few heating degree-days in the short term, bulls then moved in to drive the contract steadily higher. Crossing midday near $2.940 and tallying an intraday high of $2.970 at 1:30PM, June closed higher on Tuesday at $2.955.
As of 5:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 31 cents; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was down slightly; and Gasoline was down slightly.
