Tuesday, February 18th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.951, 12 cents above Friday’s closing price of $1.837. After a brief jump in the early morning, prices steadily fell to an intraday low of $1.943 at 11:00AM. Prices then rose slowly to an intraday high of $1.983 at 2:20PM and closed at $1.981.
As of 9:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 80 cents; Natural Gas was down 2 cents; Heating Oil was up 1 cent; and Gasoline was up 3 cents.
New York and New England basis values were unchanged for all seasons. Additionally, cash prices were up in New York and New England.
