Monday, February 4th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.661, roughly seven cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.734. Falling to a ten-month intraday low of $2.655 as markets opened, traders are awaiting the next cold front to move in as mild temperatures are now covering areas that were plagued by polar-like conditions last week. Reaching an intraday high of $2.694 shortly after 11:00AM, the contract traded sideways along $2.670 for the majority of the afternoon as March closed lower on Monday at $2.660.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 44 cents; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
