Monday, April 19th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.713, three cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.680. Falling to an intraday low of $2.695 by 9:20AM, prices rose steadily throughout the day as forecasts for below temperatures persist, in what is usually a low-demand time of year. Reaching an intraday high of $2.753 at 2:20PM, May closed higher on Monday at $2.749.
As of 6:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 62 cents; Natural Gas was down two cents; Heating Oil was up one cents; and Gasoline was up two cents.
