Tuesday, October 16th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.230, a penny below Monday’s closing price of $3.242. In a choppy day of trading, prices slipped to the intraday low of $3.210 by 9:30AM before mounting a staggered ascent to the intraday high of $3.274 at midday. Assessing demand as below-average temperatures take hold along parts of the east coast, markets tumbled slightly lower into the afternoon to close nearly flat on Tuesday at $3.239.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 60 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and, Gasoline was down slightly.
