October NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts Closed at $3.082 on Tuesday, September 25th

Tuesday, September 25th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.054, nearly two cents above Monday’s closing price of $3.038.  Maintaining fundamental support from weather forecasts and expected increase in demand, a brief stumble to the intraday low of $3.028 at 9:20AM then saw prices add to Monday’s gains.  Seesawing along either side of the $3.05 mark ahead of midday, the contract rose steadily to the intraday high of $3.087 at 2:20PM, as October closed higher on Tuesday at $3.082.  The more actively traded November contract closed three cents higher at $3.058 as the October contract settles Wednesday afternoon.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 45 cents; Natural Gas was unchanged; Heating Oil was down one cent; and, Gasoline was down two cents.
