Friday, August 24th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.954, a penny below Thursday’s closing price of $2.964. Rising to an intraday high of $2.962, the contract soon lost its footing and tumbled lower through the morning. Crossing midday $2.933 the afternoon posted additional losses as markets reevaluate the impact of above average temperatures. Trading along $2.925 through 2:15PM, September closed lower on Friday at $2.917.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up four cents; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was up slightly; and, Gasoline was up one cent.
