April NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.484 on Monday, March 15th

Monday, March 15th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.535, almost seven cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.600. Prices would reach their intraday high moments after open, spiking to $2.545 at 9:00AM. After reaching the early high, prices dropped steadily to the intraday low point of $2.487 at 11:30AM. From this low point, prices entered a brief recovery period, before dropping again and closing out the day at $2.484.

As of 9:15AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down one dollar and forty cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was down three cents; and Gasoline was down two cents.
