Friday, July 13th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.781, nearly two cents below Thursday’s closing price of $2.797. Marking the intraday high of $2.791 within the day’s opening minutes, downward pressure soon returned to the recently diminished contract, which many would argue is oversold. Trading sideways along $2.770 through the morning until 1:00PM, the contract then slid further into the afternoon to record a fresh two-month intraday low of $2.751. August closed lower on Friday at $2.752.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.63; Natural Gas was down one cent; Heating Oil was down four cents; and, Gasoline was down five cents.
