February NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts Closed at $2.795 on Friday, January 5th

Friday, January 5th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.776, nearly ten cents below Thursday’s closing price of $2.880.  Marking the intraday low right of the gate, the contract trudged gradually upward into the morning. Prices peaked at the intraday high of $2.810 at 11:00AM. Tumbling down a few cents before trading sideways to finish out the day, February closed lower on Friday at $2.795.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 25 cents; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was up slightly; and, Gasoline was up slightly.
