Friday, January 25th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.067, three cents below Thursday’s closing price of $3.099. Trending higher out of the gate, frigid temperatures moving into the northeast supported a steady ascent throughout the morning. Stabilizing near $3.170 by midday, the contract tallied the intraday high of $3.193 at 12:40PM and continued sideways over the balance of the day. February closed higher on Friday at $3.178.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.10 cents; Natural Gas was down 25 cents; Heating Oil was down three cents; and Gasoline was down two cents.
