February NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts Closed at $3.458 on Wednesday, December 26th

Wednesday, December 26th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.388, eight cents below Monday’s closing price of $3.467.  Choppy trading through the early morning, as prices rose to $3.470 and sank to an intraday low of $3.347.  Gaining momentum to cross midday near $3.470 once again, the contract then rose to the intraday high of $3.563 ahead of 2:00PM.  January closed higher on Wednesday at $3.543.  Posting similar gains, the February contract closed higher at $3.458.

The EIA Storage Report will be published on Friday, December 28th.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 63 cents; Natural Gas was up six cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
