Friday, December 4th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.511, slightly above Thursday’s closing price $2.507. Touching down to an intraday low of $2.501 minutes after 9:00AM, the contract gradually ascended throughout the day as traders took advantage of the recently diminished contract. Recovering from the prior session’s weather and storage-induced selloff, prices rose to an intraday high of $2.588 at 11:40AM. Trading sideways into the afternoon, January closed higher on Friday at $2.575.
As of 7:30AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 51 cents; Natural Gas was down 18 cents; Heating Oil was down one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
