Tuesday, April 17th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.747, slightly below Monday’s closing price of $2.752. Prices sank to the intraday low of $2.734 as markets opened and rose to the intraday high of $2.761 forty minutes later. Stepping gradually lower from this high through the balance of the day, markets are now looking past short-term below average temperatures to more seasonal weather, which in turn will help rebuild the diminished inventory. May closed lower on Tuesday at $2.738.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.16; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was up two cents; and, Gasoline was up two cents.
