Tuesday, October 15th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.313, three cents above Monday’s closing price of $2.280. Falling to the intraday low of $2.291 at 9:10AM and again forty minutes later, prices soon crept higher to reach $2.330 by 11:00AM and $2.340 by midday. Prepping for the unofficial start of winter as cooler temperatures move east, the contract ascended to an intraday high of $2.348 at 1:40PM. November closed higher on Tuesday at $2.339.
As of 9:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up two cents; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was down one cent.
