Tuesday, September 3rd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.300, nearly two cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.285. Ascending from an intraday low of $2.297 soon after 9:00AM, prices were quick to jump above $2.350 in the following thirty minutes. October closed higher on Tuesday at $2.358.
