September NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $4.027 on Tuesday, August 3rd

Tuesday, August 3rd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $3.971, four cents above Monday’s closing price of $3.935.  Falling to an intraday low of $3.953 within minutes of 9:00AM, prices then rose to the intraday high of $4.051 an hour later as additional heat has been introduced to the forecast. Trading within a two-cent range of $4.020 for a majority of the remaining session, September closed higher on Tuesday at $4.027. 

As of 7:45AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 87 cents; Natural Gas was up six cents; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down one cent.
